Prime power (PRP): The power that the generating set can supply continuously with variable load for an unlimited number of hours per year, while observing the maintenance intervals specified by the manufacturer for the stated ambient conditions according to ISO 8528-1.

Standby power (ESP): The maximum power that the generating set can supply for a limited time under the stated ambient conditions. Overload is not permitted.
